PHYS 2020

I loved Liyanage. He made class fun, and whenever he wrote the exams they were not that bad. The problem with PHYS 2010/PHYS 2020 is that the professors do take turns writing exams, so one exam may be substantially harder than the other. The good thing about this course was that there was a sick curve at the end, so I ended with an A- even though I was absolutely trash at physics. Liyanage himself is a fantastic person, he's passionate about physics and I enjoyed listening to him lecturing even on the most boring topics possible. There were a couple clicker questions every class that counted for participation and accuracy -- but if you got more than 75% of the questions right, you got a 100. There were three midterm exams, that ranged in difficulty and the final was pretty brutal so really don't skim on the studying for those. I hate physics as a subject, and if you do too but have to take this course, take it with Liyanage.
