Lots of unnecessary memorization. Hard final and exams are hard. Although she is a fun and nice teacher I felt like course is designed to be hard for no reason. 94-100 is an A... Still not sure why..

김선생님 is great at what she does. I've never had a teacher who could explain grammar points and irregulars so thoroughly and in a way that's not hard to remember. Her slides are extremely helpful; I used them every night there was homework (3-4x/week) and for every test. The tests were fair, especially considering the fact that she gives you a study guide for each exam, so there shouldn't be any surprises, really... I paid attention in class, read the slides, did the homework and studied for ~4hrs before each exam and did good, so it does take effort, but not an unordinary amount.
For our e-portfolios we had a weekly assignment that probably took 30-45minutes and was a good learning reinforcement. You can BS it and get full points or you can apply yourself, get full points and get good practice.
Korean Language Corner (bi-weekly event you have to go to 5x for the semester) was actually enjoyable, especially with all the free food and interesting presentations given by the 3000-level students.

Overall a great class!
