This class is structured like professor Annunziato's 1010 Italian course with 5 chapter tests and two timed writes. The tests are decently difficult (I'd say more difficult than the 1010 level tests), but they're only worth 20% of your grade, plus the final is only 15% of your overall grade, and it's online (even if classes are in-person). The tests will never be curved so you should study for them. Generally, professor Annunziato is a super understanding and relaxed instructor and she's always willing to help you when you need it. She will never cold call you in class unexpectedly. If you try to keep up with your work and put in some effort it's pretty hard to do poorly; you'll most likely end up with an A or A-
This class is definitely different from 1010 (coming from someone with a different professor). The class is very culturally heavy, spending the majority of the class on it. When it came to the actual grammar segment, it was often glossed over very quickly and not elaborated on. You will spend a lot of time teaching yourself the material. If more time were spent on preparing for the quizzes, it would have been more beneficial. Professor Annunziato can also be difficult to approach at times, so keep that in mind.
