This is probably my least favorite period of English literature, but I loved going to class. Levenson (and Steve Cushman) made every lecture a celebration of the development of literature and their presentations were so wonderful, I often felt like I should clap at the end of class.

Levenson is so passionate about his work and inspires this same passion in his students. He is able to connect the works read in class with the world and even provides some fun personal stories. His lectures were full of information, but it was always clear what his main points were.
