great class interesting and not much work. Tests are tricky though. it is worth putting in the time before the tests but no other work

I really enjoyed this class. If you do the readings, which are quite interesting, you will learn a lot about finance and behavioral finance, and the midterms and final will also be pretty easy for you. I definitely recommend the course.

Professor Burton Really knows his stuff. The topics covered were extremely interesting and the class was enjoyable. This is one of the best ECON class I have taken at UVA!

Definitely go to office hours. Lectures are entertaining, but the the curve can tough on exams.

Great class to take! You learn some great theory and it really is a manageable class. Take it if you can.

Behavioral Finance is a wonderful class. Professor Burton can sometimes be boring but overall the class is insightful. If you're interested in a different approach to finance definitely take it. If you've done well in Econ 434, you'll do well in this class.

It felt like a really large psych class, but without discussion. Sounds like an interesting topic but it really only consists of reading a couple of related economics papers. didn't learn much

Very interesting class if you're interested in finance. Professor Burton is very good at explaining fairly complex issues and has some pretty interesting views. Do the reading before midterms and you'll be fine

Easy 4000 level econ course. Not a lot of work just some reading. Though the reading material is dense, Burton admits that only reading the intro and conclusion are necessary. If you can pick up on the basic premise and the key terms of each paper you will be fine. The best part is going to class is largely unnecessary (though usually interesting if you have the time) since he will usually ramble on or talk about some current political/economic issue. I liked to go becuase it was interesting, but it's good to know you can miss a class and not really have to worry too much. He posts all his slides as well, but they are often not related to the lecture.

Burton is very knowledgeable and very aproachable, and is a great teacher. The test's are hard and all short answer, but if you study enough you can easily get an A.
