I absolutely loved this class. While fairly difficult (it is, after all, a 4000 level economics course), Professor Harrigan is incredibly knowledgeable about everything the course covers and you can tell it's his passion. He is very charismatic and well-spoken so the lectures are not difficult to sit through. There is homework every week, but if you go to the discussion session the TA covers how to do all of it with different numbers. There is reading every week which is helpful if you still don't quite understand the topic after the lecture, but I hardly ever read and I did fine in the class. The tests are difficult, but Professor Harrigan gives out a practice test beforehand which the TA goes over in discussion. This practice test is always very similar to the exam so if you understand the practice test (and there is a lot of support so that you can with a bit of effort), it is likely you will get a good grade on the exam. There is also a paper which you can work on with a partner and which Professor Harrigan makes himself very available to help you with (I met with him 3 or 4 times and he always pointed me in the right direction). If you don't actually like economics or if you hated intermediate micro then I don't recommend this class. However, I really enjoyed it, I got an A without straining myself too much, and I am always on the lookout to take another class with Professor Harrigan because I can tell he really enjoys teaching and cares about his students as long as they are willing to meet him halfway.
