be prepared for oral exams and written exams almost every week. dictations are every class; best way to study for those is to read and memorize the reading. pretty solid language class, Wang Laoshi really wants all her students to succeed and get better. She always asks for feedback from students as well, highly recommend taking it with her if you're in between professors. #tCFS24
This class is the same structure as the previous CHIN classes with homework, daily dictations, and tests. The written tests were every two lessons so you had to handwrite two 200 character essays each time which are a huge pain, in addition to grammar and listening, especially if you have to do them in class. 王老师 is pretty receptive to class feedback, so our last written test was take home because she asked us in class. Grades are slow to come in so it's a little hard to see how you're doing. I'd say over 50% of your grade is completion, so if you show up and submit homework on time, you can easily get a good grade. #tCFfall2022
Wang laoshi is a great teacher! Like most profs in the Chinese department, she is nice and tries to make the class enjoyable.
This class meets everyday for 50 minutes and doesn't tolerate any absences unless you have a doctor's note (per department policy) and has daily tingxies (dictations).
Overall, same structure as 1010,1020, and 2010. 王老师很棒!
