The class is very engaging so you will have to be paying attention the entire 50 minutes. There is still a lot of work because it is everyday, but if you already took Chinese 1010 you are probably used to it by now. Gao laoshi is always trying to make the class fun and though the attendance policy is strict, she's very understanding if emergencies come up.

Gao Laoshi is a phenomenal teacher. My favorite teacher I have ever had in fact. The class is very demanding and ramps up throughout the semester so I would not recommend taking this simply to fulfill a language requirement, however if you are enthusiastic about the language I cannot recommend this class more. Not only is Gao Laoshi fantastic but I came away having learned more foreign language than I did in my entire time in high school!
