CE 4120

Signing up for this course I thought that there was going to be only one instructor, Jim Smith. However we had 3 instructors and a TA in the course. The semester was basically divided up into 3 parts, with each part being taught by a different professor.
The grading for the first half of the course with Professor Singh was WAY too harsh. He thought we were phd students or something and was taking off points from everything on the lab reports.
Midterm was also too hard with a class average around mid 70's and it wasn't even curved. Lab reports take A LOT of time to do. You divy up the work with your lab group but if someone doesn't do their job then everything gets messed up. So make sure you arrive early to the labs to sit with people you know who will be doing the work.
We also had lab quizzes before each lab and these lab quizzes were generally difficult as well with people getting 3-4/5.
Lab notebooks weren't too bad to handle.
