Professor Kim is an entertaining professor and kind man who explains the material fully. He's hard to understand at first, but you get the hang of his accent after a week. He tells you everything you need to know for the tests either in lecture or the handout notes, and he's really accommodating to changing exam dates (even finals). If you try, you'll get an A.
Prof. Kim can be difficult to understand at times, but he is very clear about what you have to know for the exams. He tends to linger entirely too long on some subjects and speed through others, but everything you need to know is in the notes he gives out. On a subject or two he is a little too detail oriented for the tests, like having to know all the differences between half a dozen nearly identical neural paths, but he is very generous in grading the tests. Overall, it is a class you have to pay attention in, but it is a good class if you can just follow along and take a few notes.
Pretty straight-forward class. He tells you what you need to study for the exams so do go to the lectures. The exams are flexible (you can cross out the ones you don't want to do) just as the professor (he's accommodating in changing exam dates). He can get side-tracked sometimes, but when he does often times he's hilarious.
I love Yong Kim. I wish I could take him home with me. There is no homework for this class besides studying for the 2 tests and final. He gives you a packet with almost all the information. If you go to class and get used to his accent (takes about a week) you're gold. It's easy to tell he truly enjoys the subject and wants you to as well...plus if you go to the final review session he'll tell you to drink before his test.
