Every week you have to read multiple chapters and articles and then write a one-page response for each reading. If you don't turn in every one by the end of the course you're not allowed to take the final. The professor lectures the entire time and it is difficult to follow along and take notes. The course has an interesting topic, but I would not recommend.
Absolutely hated this class. The content should have been really interesting, but the professor ruined it for me. She really likes to start new PowerPoints as the class period ends, and hold you late. The class is full of busy work like "reading responses" for every single article you read that are just irksome and unnecessary and pointless. She calls them "proof of life." The expectations *seem* clear until you get to the exams, when you realize they weren't clear at all, and she likes to ask open-ended exam questions when she is looking for a very specific answer, and won't accept anything other than that answer.
And to top it all off, her favorite fonts are comic sans and chalkduster paired with color schemes that are literally painful to look at. In a class where you learn about aesthetics.
0/10 would not recommend.
