SPAN 2020

Sra. Ballesta is a great professor. She is very accessible during office hours and helps you with whatever you have questions on. The only thing that everyone in my class disliked was the ePortfolio. However, this isn't something that Sra. Ballesta can change because every Spanish class must make one. The class is tons of work, but none of it is hard to get an A on. By the end of the semester, the professor was so frazzled with all the work that she started giving everyone A's for assignments. If you have to take Spanish, take it with Sra. Ballesta because she is very nice and understanding of how annoying the ePortfolio is. The tests are fair and she reviews grammar with the class over that chapter. Overall it's a good course.

SPAN 2020 sucks overall, but especially sucks with this teacher. she doesn't teach anything and half of the classes this semester she just gave us a worksheet and said "do this" instead of teaching. she also pulled grades out of her ass and had no correlation to the actual work. class had absurd amounts of busy work, def wouldn't recommend this teacher if you want to do well.

Profesora Ballesta was awesome! She was my first professor who didn't make me feel like I didn't know anything about Spanish. She was very helpful in my learning, and is willing to help as much as she can. She asked for feedback from the class on numerous occasions, and spent 5+ hours in her office after the semester making herself available to her classes to turn in work or revise work. She has been my favorite professor in Spanish and I would certainly go through the other two levels again if she was my instructor! Sign up with her if you can!

Senora Ballesta was the best spanish professor. I hadn't taken spanish in 4 years and was scared of how i would do in this class, but she made it very easy to learn/relearn spanish. She is very nice and actually takes the time to know her students based off the "Sobre mi" video you do at the start of the semester. I would definitely take another class with her. One of the best professors I had here at UVA!
