SPAN 2020

This was the best Spanish class I've ever taken. I learned more from Daves than I had from 7 years of middle school and high school Spanish classes combined. No English was allowed in the class, which was daunting at first, but it actually made learning a lot easier, and I think this immersion and daily practice talking to my classmates in Spanish is what helped me improve my Spanish. Readings were fairly short and the online homework wasn't too hard. Outside of class, we had to attend 2-3 cultural events, like watching movies / film events and writing about them. We also wrote an essay on a topic of our choice (related to the culture of a Spanish-speaking country). Tests were a combination of fill in the blank and longer responses. I only took this class to fulfill the foreign language requirement, but this class was more enjoyable than my past Spanish classes and I was impressed with how Daves was 10 times better than any of my previous Spanish teachers.
