SPAN 1060

Señor Richey was such a caring and understanding teacher. He was super patient with his students and I felt that I could easily reach out to him for help. This class in general is a lot of work, but I found that if I put in the effort, I could get the grades I wanted. I really think that he is the best teacher that teaches his class and that you won't regret taking his class.

Prof. Richey is the most understanding and kind professor I have ever had. Since SPAN1060 is accelerated, he gets that it's a lot of work for students (especially for first time spanish students) and tries their best to be flexible and available for any questions or concerns. He really values communication and transparency with his students, I shared the truth about mental health and disability reasons for late work or absences, and he was so considerate of everything that goes on outside of school life, and was very lenient with his grading and policies, if you just reach out to them. While my class was online, it was difficult sometimes for people to want to participate, but you should, he will never make you feel dumb or embarrassed for getting something wrong. If you are taking spanish for the language requirement and/or struggle with mental health that other professors might not care about, take their class!
