Digital Political Theory was without a doubt my favorite class I have taken in my undergraduate career. Literally everything about this class was great. The material was fascinating and relevant and not too difficult to read (and if it is Colin will tell you and he'll spend extra time in class unpacking it). The blogs were easy to do and he gives you a chance to revise them before he grades them which is awesome. The surveillance journal was a lot of fun and didn't even really feel like an assignment. The reports were also super easy and its my impression he always gave people As on them. The final portfolio was basically just one big revision and while it does end up being a lot of words it doesn't take that long because you're already familiar with the material and the argument. Colin is super chill if not a tad eccentric but he was one of my favorite professors, you can tell he knows a lot about the topic. He also provides a ton of feedback on your blogs and other assignments so its very easy to know where you can improve. Class itself usually begins with a response to the days readings than a short lecture followed by discussion exercises in small groups or with the entire class. Overall, can't reccommend this class or Colin enough he's the best.
