Horror film class. Definitely not hard, your homework is just watching movies and then filling out worksheets about them so that just takes time, and you do have to pay close attention so you can't multitask. Marshall is super sweet and he usually lets you go an hour or so early from lecture. The class is more based in the origins of the horror movie, so just be prepared to watch a fair amount of silent and a lot of black and white films, you watch maybe five movies in color and two from this century.
Great professor, super nice and enthusiastic. Get ready to watch a lot of movies, I think I watched 27 including the one for my paper. There were also a few documentaries to watch about the horror genre. Basically, there's 2-3 movies a week with a worksheet to fill out with observations. These were easy as long as you filled the sheet out and followed the master list of horror tropes. We had quizzes for a while but those stopped about halfway through. There's also a paper and a fairly chill final. We also had opportunities for extra credit. Attendance is important to the grade but he's understanding if you have to miss just let him know!
He also had some actresses from classic horror movies join the class zoom which was interesting.
