ITAL 1010

I loved Hiromi! Having her as a professor my first semester here at UVA was a really great experience. She is very friendly and funny, and she genuinely cares about all of her students. She is very understanding with everyone's level of expertise, and does everything she can to help her students learn. If you are considering taking this class, definitely choose Hiromi as your professor!! You will not regret it!!. She makes class enjoyable, and I look forward to this class everyday.

Hiromi is the BEST teacher for this course! She is so funny and kind and genuinely cares about her students. She's really helpful and works hard to help people understand the material and gives lots of opportunities to submit drafts/revisions. A lot of work, but as would be any other language class. Most of the homework is online through Connect, so you can revise it until you get a 100. Overall great class, would recommend!

This class rocks! If you are looking to try a new language start here with Hiromi! Taking Italian was one of the better decisions I made regarding my courses for first year. Hiromi is an excellent and kind teacher who really wants you to understand the language. There is a lot of homework BUT that is the case for any language that you take at UVA so why not spend your time taking Italian with Hiromi.
