CS 1111

This class is good if you have an interest in computer science. The homeworks take a while, but they are interesting if you like the subject. Personally I never went to lecture and a lot of people from my class didn't either; it didn't really help.

This class was very easy and very interesting (at least when I taught myself). After going to lecture once or twice I stopped going as it was worthless. I still got an A.

This course is by far the best choice for anyone who is any bit confident in their CS skills. There is no lab, you only meet twice a week, and my class finished 2 weeks early and we just didn't have class for the rest. You have the same tests as the normal class, which are really easy.

HWs were pretty difficult, but if you keep up with the reading you'll be okay mostly. Don't be afraid to seek out help- and for the HWs, do it early!

Gurumurthi isn't as exciting as Sherriff, but they cover about the same material. Lighter load since there is no lab.
