Wormington is a great lecturer. He makes the material fun, accessable, and interesting. The problem, though, comes with his exams. His exams are awful; hands down, some of the hardest questions out there, because he expects you to know the meticulous details of the various processes. Despite his exams, which are ridculously hard, I still suggest this course. Just don't expect to do stellar, and you'll be okay.

The best core. However, there is a lot of memorization involved, and the class is not an easy A.

Great professor!! Takes a complex subject and makes it understandable and interesting. Also focused on relevant information dealing with the topic, such as cancer.

Great class! There is a lot of information that can get really detailed at times but Wormington does a good job covering everything. Tests aren't that bad if you go through and memorize the his lecture slides.

This class was pretty fun. Wormington tries to add jokes into his slides and the tests are very fair.

This class really wasn't hard if you paid attention in class. After a few weeks I stopped reading the textbook and just studied the slides from class. Got an A. Just make sure you take good notes during lecture.

Amazing teacher. Wormington really enjoys students to come to office hours, and he is great at putting difficult mechanisms into perspective

The best science class I have taken at UVa, and I'm a 3rd year science major. Excellent professor, and the TA, Gene, was outstanding. Gene really tried to make sure you understood the material and both he and Prof Wormington made themselves available quite a bit if you needed help. Don't buy the book, it is utterly useless. Just listen to Wormington's lectures. If you're a slow notetaker, invest in a tape recorder of some sort. Everything comes from lecture.

People say he is a good lecturer. I found him boring and monotonous. He is a nice guy though. This class is extremely boring and easy if you've taken Biochemistry already.
