This class was definitely an introductory class, don't worry about having any previous knowledge in Chinese! Jun Wang is sooo nice and funny, but the fact that this class meets four times a week was pretty rough, just because we had homework every night that we had class. The homework takes about 1 hour each night, but it's really not hard and she lets you have unlimited Canvas submissions so you can go back and correct your work, and for the workbook she uploads the answers so you can check your work. You will have a "mini quiz" every day that counts as 10% of your grade (she will drop your lowest scores), so you have to know the content of the homework from the night before every day. Attendance/participation was 20% (but you are forced to participate anyways, but don't be worried about that because she is so nice and will help you if you don't know the answer to a question). The tests were pretty easy (15%), homework was two sections - online canvas homework (10%) and workbook (10%), then padlet postings (10%) and weekly speaking with chinese native speakers (10%). The final project was 15% (everyone I talked to got a 100 on those though). Would highly recommend this course and this professor!
