Gerrans' lectures are boring. They are pretty much parrot text book, but less helpful. He really doesn't explain things in any sort of unique way, so I've decided that getting up at 9am isn't worth it. Just read the book, take good notes and do the homework. Practice problems optional because they don't reflect what's on the quizzes anyway...
Lectures are boring but Gerrans is apparently the easiest of the crew. Easiest quizzes because it is mainly conceptual, and not mathematical. Some of the questions are direct repeats from past quizzes. 5 quizzes, takes highest 4. Each quiz is 15% and 15 questions. Final Exam is 30% with 30 questions. So if you do the math, for every multiple choice question you get wrong on a quiz or the final, it is 1% of your final course grade. Don't be scared. It should fuel you to do well in this class. You will be fine. Don't worry too much. Just do the weekly homework. It'll keep you stay on top of things.
Gerrans was decent, but by no means great as others have said. He was extremely dull in lecture, and I stopped going to lecture after about a month. You can learn everything you need to do well in this class by reading the book and doing the weekly assignment. There are 5-6 quizzes during the semester and drops the lowest grade. Other than that, the grade is based on the weekly homework, and the midterm/final (both multiple choice.
