This lab follows a pretty simple schedule where you meet to plan a lab for 50 minutes one week then do the lab the next week. Most of the labs are relatively easy and you can complete them in well under the time allotted for the class. The only thing is that the directions for each experiment are not outlined super well because they want you to be able to plan it yourself, so if you mess up your plan you will probably mess up the lab. The grading is not percentage based. For each lab, plan, prelab, and postlab, you either meet the requirements or you don’t. If you don’t meet requirements then you can fix it and resubmit. You just have to meet the requirements on most assignments to get an A. The postlabs could be a bit tedious sometimes but most of the work doesn’t take very long.
This class is mostly labor-based with some quizzes throughout the semester. If you understand what is going on, it's very difficult to not get an A in this class. The assignments are based on "Mastering" each task, so basically get a 70 on each assignment and you'll finish with an A. However, there is a good amount of work for this class as there's prelabs, postlabs, and other assignments spread out throughout the semester. The labs throughout the semester are pretty interesting and very different throughout the semester.
