This course requires a lot of time preparing for the case studies. On average I probably spent ~2 hours preparing for each case between reading the articles and making sure I understood the main clinical concepts. That said I learned a lot about how BME is seen in the clinical world by the case studies. The format of the class is daily quizzes which cover material from the current and previous case study, discussion grades, and "attentiveness." The quizzes can be tough but once you get the hang of them they aren't bad. The lowest 2-3 will be dropped anyways. He also added a bit of a curve at the end. If you aren't selected as a discussant for a topic you can kind of check out but you may lose "attentiveness" points in the long run. Definitely a worthwhile course in my opinion.
