This class was very hard, especially math doesn't come to you intuitively. Yet, it was all very integrated, and Dr. Saucerman paced the class very manageably. If you were willing to actually work for the class, it showed in your grade. I recommend classes like this because they actually reflect your effort. Not to mention that the concepts explained in this class are CENTRAL to all engineering practices. Very worthwhile class.
This class is very work intensive but the material itself isn't too difficult. The homeworks take a long time, so don't wait until the night before to start them. The tests are really hard but they're definitely not the only thing that determines your grade - I got a 79 on the first and a 65 on the second, and I still got an A- in the class. The project is pretty straight forward, but make sure you're active in the presentation because he'll grade you really harshly if you're not (7% of your total grade!). Our final was easy since the tests were so hard, and most people get an A or a B.
Not a particularly fun class. I personally didn't find the material interesting at all. If you do the work and put effort into it, you will end up with a B+ worse case. The homeworks take a lot of time and are a lot harder than the tests. So work in groups. Also, the final project takes a lot longer than you may think; do not leave it for last day.
