It's a pretty typical workload for a language class. I think it's gone up a bit in the past few semesters, but it's still a pretty easy class. Exams are take home. There's a semester-long group project where you have to make up your own company. Wolters sometimes forgets to tell us about stuff and that's kind of annoying, but he's pretty relaxed on due dates and whatnot for the class so it works out.
Super easy to end up with a good grade (I got a 94 and barely tried at all), but there is a good amount of busy work and that gets super annoying. Wolters couldn't even keep everything he assigned straight, and that was kind of irritating. Also, a lot of what you learn (random facts about South American economies) isn't super useful or applicable, but you create your own company and make a brochure about it which is kinda cool. I would probably take the class again.
