Adam is literally the best Spanish teacher ever! He is super chill and grades much easier than I expected for an advanced Spanish class. If you have any questions he is more than happy to answer them. He is also really accessible and responds to emails pretty quickly if you have any questions before the next assignment. The only thing I would say is that (this is not really about Adam but more about the class in general) the Tareas you turn in can be lengthy and take up a lot of time. Sometimes they are due by the next class, but sometimes take 1-2 hours to complete. Other than that, Adam is an awesome Spanish teacher and I hope to take another one of his classes in the future!
Adam. Is. A. King. You seriously could not get a better Spanish professor. He is the chillest dude, he's super funny, and he teaches Spanish very well. I was a little worried about taking a Spanish class at the 3000 level, but it was way easier than I expected. The workload was very reasonable, with 14 "tareas" (reading/writing exercises), daily grammar activities, and three essays total, the last of which being the final for the class. Adam is very encouraging toward his students and wants everyone to feel comfortable participating and speaking in Spanish each class period. He isn't the type of professor to nitpick and call out minor grammar or pronunciation mistakes, as the important thing to him is that you try. As it is an advanced Spanish class, the activities can take a little while - the grammar activities go by very quickly but the tareas take 1-2 hours depending on the length of the article/movie that goes along with them. You have to do one speaking presentation with a partner during the year, but it's very low stakes and as long as you follow the rubric you'll get an A. The essays aren't too bad either because you go through multiple editing stages before turning in the final product. There are three exams throughout the year but Adam gives you a study guide/exam review before that will completely prepare you. Adam is truly the best Spanish teacher I've ever had and I'm going to try to take every other class that he offers because he's just that good. #tCFfall22
