SOC 4054

The class itself is almost entirely discussion-based. Readings (from Habermas, Bordieu, Mills, etc.) can be long (~80-100 pages a week) but are fairly easy, fun, and interesting, especially if you're interested in theory. The grade comes from three things: daily participation in the class discussion, a short midterm paper, and a longer, fifteen-page research paper. Great choice for anyone, really.
