SOC 3020

One of the best teacher and class offered. If you have never been introduced to Marx, Durkheim or Weber, get ready. One of the most worthwhile class. The tests are easy, as long as you go to lecture and Prof Kumar is very clear on the topic. I recommend this class for everyone.

Mr. Kumar is one of the best lecturers in the department, which, when combined with an engaging subject, makes his classes 'must see'. T.A. Jen Patja is also very helpful, making the mandatory discussions interesting and helpful for understanding the material, especially Marx... Overall, highly recommended to all (and required for majors!)

Not hard concepts. Final is 6, 3-4 page, hand-written essays in 3 hours.

I found this class to be very interesting, and not much work involved. There are weekly readings, which you can get away without actually doing, but they are all pretty interesting. The exams were all short answer and fill in the blank, and pretty predictable. A pretty easy A if you actually pay attention in lecture and discussion
