Excellent class, this should be mandatory for undergraduate Russian majors who are notoriously sloppy with grammar or ignorant to the more intricate details of the language a Russian major should know...professor is great, he is picky but if you put forth a visible effort, he will like you. He can come off as severe in class but is very nice one on one, and is always eager to help. No homework other than three assignments that take a max of 2 hours to complete each, depending on how much you understand the material, which you should be at least somewhat familiar with if you're taking a 5000 level Russian grammar course. I took this class as an undergrad (3rd year Russian and higher can take it) and it wasn't a struggle at all. It really isn't that complicated and makes sense pretty quickly. The textbook is handouts he gives in class.
