As other have said definitely not a well run class. I got away without reading the textbook but had to grind for the midterms/final. If you're insistent on taking this class(which I don't recommend) make sure to reach out to the TA to make sure your study guide is up to expectation. Also from my knowledge key to the final is to right down literally as much as possible on the final/midterm. I filled out the entire blue book and ended up doing decent in the class. 4/10 would not recommend. Final note: Have heard plenty of stories about grading make sure to double check and argue back points if you feel there is something wrong.

Literally the stupidest I have ever taken in the entirety of my college life (so far). The professor literally knows less about the subject than the TA. The grading is wack so definitely do NOT make a mistake of taking this class thinking it is a GPA booster. I learned absolutely nothing from this class and am extremely disappointed. The TA is awesome though, he basically runs the class so shout out to Essam and all his hard work!

He does not know what he's doing. He postponed our midterm and our term paper two weeks and he forgot to post the due date for the term paper. His lectures are incredibly boring. He does give you the questions he is gonna ask in the midterm as a study guide but they don't prepare you at all. He grades really harshly despite the fact he doesn't do a good job teaching. All the questions are open-ended and for some reason, no one can get the exact answer he wants. I got a C on my midterm despite memorizing all the answers beforehand. I also have a background in Islam as I have read numerous books about islam and life of the prophet. I even teach at a Sunday school and I'm not getting a good grade. I definitely don't recommend this class. Especially if you don't have any background in the class subject.
