Prof. Freeman is a nice guy but the material is boring and the tests are difficult.

Prof. Freeman is a nice guy, but his tests are extremely difficult, harder than his practice problems, he tries to trick you, take the other professor even if it is at 9 am, you won't regret it. The lab is annoying too, with all the paper writing.

Professor Freeman is really enthusiastic and this class isn't as bad as most people say it is. The tests are straight from the lectures and you don't have to read the book. You have an assignment due every week in lab, which sucks, but they usually aren't worth much. If you go to lecture the tests are easy.

Unfortunately, this class is required for the psychology major, so just be ready for the following: Really slow, boring, ineffective lectures. The return of the four-function calculator. Arbitrary rules. Bad group projects (to be fair, the lab isn't as bad as 305, but the group project is a pain). Really corny jokes. Lecture slides riddled with errors...

It's easy to do well if you can bring yourself to think like Freeman on exams. I actually relied on the book quite a bit- it does a better job explaining the different statistical tests you'll learn and the practice problems are more effective than the exams Freeman posts on-line.

This class is my conception of hell. Lectures belittle students, but no not teach in a constructive way. Then tests trick and confuse you and are graded difficultly, confirming the professor's preconceived notion that his students just aren't that bright. Multiple lectures ended earlier or ended in complete confusion because the professor made irrecoverable mistakes in his slides that he couldn't even figure out how to recover from (like using the wrong formula from the very beginning of the lecture). If you must take this class, take responsibility for your own learning (assuming the professor will teach what you need to know will disappoint you), do read the book, and don't attend lecture, it will have the opposite-than-desired effect on your learning.

Professor Freeman is really nice and this class isn't as bad as most people say it is. If you want an A you have to go to class, don't bother buying the book, and write as much as possible on your formula sheet (Freeman lets you write as much as you want) and you will be good for an A.

Freeman makes it simple if you just learn the stuff. Do practice problems from past exams.

Just go to class and study class notes. Book is useless.
