Many of the authors who comprise the tradition of Continental political thought are (in)famous for being difficult. That said, while the reading is very trying at times, it's well worth the effort. White has a thorough knowledge of the subject and helps make discussions stimulating. Altogether, one of the best classes I've had at UVA.
