Klosko's lecture style is a bit dry and long winded but the material that you read is very good and Nadim was an amazing TA.

Professor Klosko actually makes dry political theory interesting. Make sure to stay with the readings.

Klosko's lectures can sometimes seem long, but he does a good job at covering the basics for the theorists. You actually remember what they say after lecture. Pay attention in discussion too - that can help you understand the readings better, because sometimes it can be hard to digest everything

Klosko is a pretty dry lecturer, and I thought I wasn't learning much but I ended up taking a lot away from this course and the information has stuck with me.

Klosko really does try to keep it engaging and relevant. Just be forewarned that your grade almost entirely depends on the TA. Wouldn't recommend Francis.

Professor Klosko is a wealth of knowledge. However you have to have an interest in political theory to really get something out of this course. Readings are dense and a bit time consuming, but Klosko both knows what he is talking about and presents the information clearly. Discussion sections are very helpful and are a way to understand the more complicated topics. Also Klosko believes in giving you exam question possibilities beforehand, which is incredibly helpful and makes tests easy to prepare for. If you're willing to do the reading, this class is well worth it.

Interesting topics however the professor is a dry lecturer and easily gets off track making it difficult to have precise information to prepare for exams. Grading depends on your T.A. as well, which can be annoying. Readings are not necessary for the course write everything Klosko says and you will be prepared for exams.

Don't take this class unless you need that PLPT requirement. It's not worth the stress and the hassle. Klosko is really cool, but tells his TA's to grade so tough to the point where it's impossible to do well. Unless you aren't the reincarnation of John Locke don't do it.

Excellent class for introducing concepts about political theory. Would recommend if you are interested in politics, but it would probably be difficult if you are just doing it for the requirement. My TA was Janet, and she presented the material in a super clear and engaging format. I actually looked forward to discussions every week. Just pay attention in lectures/take good notes and the exams will be fine. There is a final paper, but you get to choose the topic.
