If you're interested in American foreign policy, then absolutely take this class. It's a little intimidating since you have to write 6 papers (each 6-8 pages), but Professor Quandt grades them fairly easily, there's no midterm or final, and his many anecdotes from his years in government are enormously entertaining. I worked really hard in this class, did well, and got more out of it than any other class at UVA. Definitely recommend!!
