Interesting class with interesting material. Prof. Brewer is very young, so she's enthusiastic and keeps class alive. She's very passionate about subject material. Workload isn't bad-- from what I remember it's 1-2 papers (including final 20-pg research paper) and a midterm and a final. I would take this class again -- esp. if you need to fill a requirement for Latin America IR concentrarion -- go for this course!
