Very fun and engaging course! The reading schedule is unreasonable, but you can easily get by just skimming the readings. I really enjoyed the lectures and found the time passing very quickly. Discussion was also very chill and never stressful. No need to study for quizzes since they are open-book and open-note, but you should expect to put in a considerable amount of work into the papers. #tcfF25
Great and genuinely easy class. All the reviews talking about the long readings don't know how to skim for main ideas/methods. There are two papers, three online quizzes, and the final is an online multiple-choice exam. Genuinely can't get easier than that. Professor Freedman's lectures are engaging and funny, but some of the topics can get redundant. He also doesn't post any lectures, recordings, or even slides, so you have to go to class. I had Robert as a TA, and he's amazing. Would recommend this class to anyone looking for an easy, but v interesting American politics credit.
