Ethan is the absolute worst. It's clear that he thinks incredibly highly of himself right off the bat, and it only gets worse from there. The condescending e-mails were so horrible and downright mean they were almost comical. Don't take this class with him unless you want to interact with a vampire from the eighteenth century three times a week.
I get why people dislike Professor Alexander-Davey, but, luckily, so does he. He is rather aware that some people think he is snob, but he still treats everyone equally. If you take his class, he just wants to participate. He is intelligent and enthused by political debate, and he would like to transfer that enthusiasm to his students. If you're not willing to participate, don't take this class. Additionally, be willing to challenge and extend your personal beliefs. Ethan is biased against bias, and that makes him fun to watch... and he's a pretty easy grader, so that's nice.
