Devereux is a really great professor, and genuinely cares about you doing well in his class. Several times he passed around a piece of paper to sign up and come talk to him about how you're doing in the class. Although this class could drag on and get insanely boring at times, if you participate in discussion and write decent papers, you should easily be able to get an A or B.
