I really wish someone had reviewed this class before I took it. If you are doing this class to fulfill a requirement, although it's not a bad class to take, I would really recommend it for someone who likes art, especially art history. I say that because the class is not an easy A. Your grade is split up as such:
10% lecture attendance, 15% discussion section participation, 5% online homework assignment, 15% online midterm, 15% mid-semester research paper, 20% online final exam, 20% final paper.
The lecture attendance is easy, just show up. The participation is somewhat subjective, although with my TA (Niles, who is great btw), it was just not staring at your computer and participating 1-3 times per class. The one homework assignment is easy, and the exams are fine too. You do have to study dozens of works of art, but it is take home and online, so take that as you will. I will say, though, take good notes in class, especially on any work of art Prof. Kreindler talks about, because it's your only source of knowledge on the works of art. If you don't, watch her recorded lectures or get the notes from someone else. Finally, both the papers aren't that hard honestly, you just write about a work of art/architecture and relate it to some historical time period or event. It may be worth noting that Prof. Kreindler graded more a tad more harshly than my TA did, as I got the same grade for both and I spent considerably more time on one than the other.
All in all, the teachers themselves are good for the class. The material is dense, though, and it is easy to fall behind if you don't pay full attention.
(Also, there is reading, but I never did it and it never affected me)
