It's basically Child Psych but for the entire human lifespan. I wouldn't take this class if you're not in the Nursing School... Connie Lee is nice but she rambles. Each powerpoint only has ~10 slides and could be finished in under 30 minutes but she spends a ridiculous amount of time telling random stories that don't contribute to learning the material. There's a midterm, final, and term paper. The term paper is very confusing and she pretty much refuses to help with it. It's not a bad class, but I wouldn't take it if you don't have to. The midterm and final are multiple choice, but very technical and on random comments from class.
Connie Lee is a very nice professor, and really cares about her students. I am not in the nursing school, however (student with interest in health care so thought this class might be worthwhile) and I would say that unless you are in the nursing school and would be required to take it, I would not recommend enrolling. It is very science-psychology heavy and the course pace moves very quickly. Exams were not that difficult if you pay attention in class and do the readings. The term paper, however, was graded very harshly and the TA was extremely nit-picky about proper APA formatting. #tcf2016
