This course was taught by Professor Gomes and Professor Evans. I didn't necessarily enjoy the class when professor Gomes taught it, as it wasn't very engaging and more than half the time she was reading straight off the slides and adding no additional context, most times she also wouldn't show up to class. However, I did enjoy when Dr. Evans taught the course, you can tell she thoroughly enjoyed teaching the course. She added fun engaging and relatable experiences or materials to whatever lesson was being taught This course is what I assume like any other psychology class so it does involve a lot of reading. The tests aren't terrible they are straight from the book. Overall, the class isn't the best but it also wasn't the worst. They do assign an assignment during each class but most times it's nothing terrible just critical thinking per se. You don't necessarily have to show up to class because you wouldn't fall behind with the reading but there are a few times there will be group work which won't be announced that is due during class.
The content of the course is interesting but the professor ruined the potential of the course. Half the time we met over Zoom which sound not happen in an in person class and sometimes she showed up to class late or not at all. When she did show up her lectures were just reiterating exactly what was in the textbook reading so eventually I stopped doing the reading all together. Luckily there were no exams, just quizzes and a few group projects.
