Krushkal is a genuinely very nice guy. He'll answer questions and always had helpful practice tests and reviews before exams. His mannerisms are a bit odd once in awhile, but can be pretty entertaining. The class in general isn't that hard, but you can't fall too behind. BTW, I took this class without ever taking Calc II formally and didn't really have any problems. It draws mainly from Calc I and Krushkal usually reviewed the basic principals as it applied to Calc III.
The class is fairly difficult but Professor Krushkal is very good and teaches by giving numerous example problems. For every section that we did, Krushkal went through the process of solving the problems in a step by step manner which made the material much more understandable. The tests were a little bit harder than the hw but not by much.
Best math professor I've had at UVA. His accent is a little hard to understand but once you get used to it, you'll hardly notice it. He's very clear, gives lots of examples, and will answer any questions you have after class or in office hours. Also gives practice tests before every exam which are VERY useful.
Kruskal is a pretty good math teacher for calculus III. He is a little bit awkward about answering questions and can sometimes come off as a little bit harsh when someone asks a stupid question, but I think he generally is a nice guy. The quizzes were much more difficult than the tests and the homework is pretty standard for math homework.
