MATH 1320

Chun Ju was an awesome professor but probably won't teach this ever again. So if you're reading this, take applied Calc instead of MATH 1320. Seriously. Hardest class I have taken in my life and I took BC Calc in high school. Incredible amounts of work were poured into this class just to get a B. If you are a math genius, go for it. If you are moderately good at math but it's not your favorite, don't even think about it. The class had a generous curve and even then I was consistently doing poorly throughout despite hours of work being poured into this class every week. It most likely will not be kind to your GPA and there are easier ways of getting this requirement done for many people. Seriously take applied.

Calc 2 was the hardest class during my semester however if you put in the proper work like I began to later in the semester you will get results. I'd recommend office hours if anything is unclear but to do well in this class you need to do as many practice problems as possible as the midterms are fairly difficult and I remember many problems that stumped me for 10+ minutes. Chun was very energetic and did well making sure that students in the class were following along but don't take Calculus 2 for fun. period.
