MATH 1310 really isn't so bad, but I think it definitely helps to have taken calculus before. The content is organized pretty well, but the flipped classroom structure (you learn the content initially as homework and review in class) is kind of annoying. The class has clear deadlines and structures and not too much homework though. I will say the exam structure is a little stupid. There are learning targets for each topic and on the exams, there is only one question per learning target, so you either show that you know it or it gives off the impression that you don't know it at all if you get the question wrong. Dounia was an alright professor, but I definitely wish I had a professor with more teaching experience (not her fault though; I think a lot of MATH 1310 professors this semester are grad students). She is very nice and understanding though, and the class environment is very chill. #tCFfall22
