If you are not a math person but need a class to fulfill your math/science requirement this is a pretty good class to take. Its not extremely difficult-- if you took calculus in high school, you will not learn anything new. Homework is somewhat tedious and can be difficult though. Exams are extremely predictable and your given the past exams to practice on. Lewers is a really nice guy (a little bit of a nervous lecturere though) and helpful when you go to his office hours #tcf2016
Mark was a great TA! I entered the class extremely late (the day right before the enroll deadline), and was behind on a lot of material. However, Mark was very accommodating and helped me catch up on the material in no time.
If you copy down the notes Mark writes on the board and use his practice problems, you will do well on the exams. Likewise, if you have questions about a certain problem or concept, he will explain them step-by-step for you during lecture or in office hours.
Mark also replies back super quickly to e-mails (he always replied back within the hour to mine, even at night). Also, if you complete your WebAssign homework early (he has an early deadline and a regular deadline), you get extra credit on your HW. Highly recommend.
