The grading for the course was 60% homework, 20% quizzes, 20% in-class activities. This is the perfect GPA boosting class. It's super easy and pretty much an intro to Python class. You will learn the basics, but I don't think there's enough practice within the course to fully understand the topics he goes over. I think I spent a total of like 1-2 hours a week, but you don't even need that much time. He lets you use GPT outside of class and you can do all the assignments that way.
Javier is a really nice guy and if you have any questions on the HW or are running into errors you can go to him. He has an accent but you can understand him easily. That being said, the lectures are super boring and honestly there is no need to be there really. Towards the 2nd half of the semester he started doing "in-class activities" and he doesn't announce these ahead of time to get you to come to class. He posts the assignment to canvas and you work w/other people to submit it before the end of the day. Overall super easy class and one of the easiest A's you will get.
