GSVS 3310

This class was definitely very dry and bland, but it was one of the easiest A's I've had this year. Attendance wasn't required, so I was able to miss many lectures and still be on track. Your grade is comprised of participation in discussions, a 3 part NEPA policy project, Non-Domestic Policy analysis, and a final exam. Professor Phillips is kind of boring, but he's very experienced and his real niche is with his Ecological Economic class.

Big fan of this class. Poor Professor Phillips did his absolute best to remain positive and teach us about what sustainability policy *used* to be despite this year's setbacks. He was so passionate about his subject material, and so crushed at seeing his hard work destroyed by this presidential administration.

The class is relatively easy. There are readings each week, some of which are very lengthy, but skimming them is just fine. Make sure to go to class, as he notices who is present and who participates. The group projects aren't too difficult if everyone in your group participates. Make sure to be writing down the legislation he mentions for the final!!

If you're studying GSVS, try taking this class sooner rather than later. Spencer is a great guy to begin building a relationship with early, as he has a ton of cool connections and is the current director of the sustainability program.
