I took this course for the Catalyst program. It was very groupwork heavy, which is to be expected but a little annoying. Groups were generated based on a work style survey but they honestly seemed random. We get some class time to work on the main group project but it still required some group meetings outside of class. Other in-class activities included simulations, teamwork exercises, reflections, and all class discussion. I wouldn't say the course was super difficult but it does require effort and critical thinking. He modified the syllabus a bit to make the workload easier than it has been in the past. This semester the only major assignments were our group project, collaborative reflection journal, and mid-semester/end of semester self-evaluations. The group project was to write an op-ed and memo on a 'wicked' healthcare problem, but the subject changes each semester. There was a good bit of assigned readings, but they usually weren't actually necessary.
