ARTH 2882

This class was great and I learned a lot about a culture I knew nothing about. Henry is a great professor and he wants his students to learn and get something out of his class. He encourages students to participate and go to events around the Charlottesville community in order to delve deeper into the topic of Aboriginal Art as well as earn extra credit for attending these events. A lot of people do not go to class because Henry has a review day before each exam where he goes over exaclty what is going to be on the exam. There are weekly quizzes which I found it was very helpful to go to class and take note of everything he says because if you just go back and look at his slideshows, you will not really know what he is talking about. He does give almost every answer to the quizzes in class if you pay attention. Discussion is super easy, all you have to do is show up. Skimming the readings is helpful, but you definately don't have to read the entirety of each of the assigned readings.

I loved this class! Henry is a great professor and so knowledgeable about the material... You also learn how to make a Wikipedia page for an artist which is a really useful skill. It's very easy to get an A as long as you show up to class and stay on top of deadlines.
