Noah Gade is awesome. Lectures are clear and supremely well-organized, with useful code and resources attached to slides regularly posted on Collab. Lectures contain informational content presented at a good pace and frequent well-facilitated class discussion and criticism on relevant data visualizations. Homework assignments are challenging and fair. This class is quite easy, primarily because several class periods were either skipped or converted into "project work days" to which no one showed up. Noah will get you inspired about data visualization. Take this class if you plan to ever apply statistics in the future. The final project is interesting and open-ended. Assignments are graded fairly and generously. This course is well-planned, with a clear schedule kept up-to-date on Collab. Noah has a real knack for facilitating discourse among a large amount of students in a lecture hall; take this class if you want to make efficient use of your time while learning useful skills under a competent instructor, which is so rare in this department.
